About Pansy

Hi there, my name is Pansy! I am a 3-4 year old Beagle/Plott Hound mix and I am ready to find my forever home. Back in the shelter, my two adult puppies were adopted but no one took me home with them. Augusta Dog Adoptions saved the day and pulled me to help me search for my own forever family! My foster mom tells me I'm making great progress with house training and I'm already a pro at crate training. I live with foster brother and sister dogs right now, but I think it's helped me discover that I'd prefer to be the only dog in the house. I can be friendly, especially with smaller dogs, but sometimes I just get a little jealous. I thrive on loads of human affection and positive reinforcement. My favorite hobby is definitely being on the receiving end of belly rubs, but I'm also enthusiastic about food in general (especially dog treats) and playing outside in the sun. My small size and big heart make me an expert snuggler; if you're seeking a couch surfing buddy or someone to keep you safe and warm in bed, I'm your girl! We take applications online and hold adoption events at Petsmart in Waynesboro, VA (821 Town Center Drive Waynesboro, VA 22980) every Saturday. A $175.00 adoption fee ($200 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
