[Read About Natural Incontinence Care] Sophie is a 13 year old Jack Russell. She belonged to my brother, but when he moved out she stayed with us. This is my parents house, and I have tried diapering her so that she doesn't urinate in the house, but no one is home to make sure to allow her time outside to pee, so we stopped using the diapers and diaper cover when I am not home. I work full time and am going to school part time, so I have limited means to help. My father wants to take her and have her put down because she is causing damage to his hardwood floors. I would like to spare her that by finding someone who would be able to provide her with care most of the time. Sophie does not care for cats, and is ok with other dogs as long as they do not display aggression towards her. She tends to enjoy going outside and playing occasionally. She has an occasional cough which the vet has attributed to mild CHF or mild COPD. My father is unwilling to spend the money to get all the testing done that the vet recommends. I hope there is someone out there who is willing to help her live her remaining years without being threatened with euthanasia just because she urinates. I love her and just want her to be safe.
