The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less than ideal conditions so will need to be house and leash trained. Most have never lived in house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion Hi! My name is J J and I am beautiful Chihuahua girl puppy who is 1 year old, and I weigh 8 pounds. My previous owners left me and my sibling in a crate in a hot car and before we could be rescued, my sibling died. I was very lucky but believe me, I will never get in a crate again! I was taken to a shelter and I was so scared. Someone who worked there grabbed me and I bit him because I didn't know what he was going to do, and they were going to put me to sleep. Once again, I was rescued, and by the nice folks at B.R.A.S. I am a total lap dog and would live in my foster mommy's lap. I do need to be approached slowly so not to scare me, so I need a quiet home with no children where I will get all the love and care I have missed.
