About Kimber

Meet beautiful Kimber, a 5-7 year old Yorkie who weighs 13 pounds. She came to us from a hoarding situation with several other dogs. Kimber has graduated her housebreaking skills and goes outside and will use a pee pad if needed. She has been around older kids and has done well so we're quite sure she'd be great with younger ones too. She does good with other dogs and even likes bigger dogs. She is not a fan of cats and will chase them, so she'd like a home without them. She is beginning to learn about walking on a leash and she loves riding in the car. If you're looking for a lap dog, Kimber is your girl! She loves her foster dad. She also likes sleeping with you in bed. She still has some moments where she becomes afraid but has come quite a ways since she came to us. Based on her previous life we do not want her to go to a home where she would be kept in a crate with a closed door. Kimber did test positive for heartworms and has almost completed her initial treatment. Treatment is simple and inexpensive when caught early and her future family would need to agree to continue with this. Our rescue will pay for her retests every 6 months until she tests negative.
