About Cherry

Cherry is an amazing dog ready for her forever home. She eats nicely, not messy or food protective. Good with other dogs. Likes to play but isn't relentless. Is a little rough with smaller dogs and doesn't know size comparison. She's not intentionally rough. Walks nicely with gentle leader which will be provided. Does pull with a regular collar. Likes walks and isn't all over the place - walks nicely next to you for majority of time. Would prefer to be somewhat active but does not require someone really active. Likes to chill in yard on a lead. Need bones or interactive toys. (We were told she has a history of chewing but has not since given bones and toys, supervised, and exercised regularly. Knows sit, lay down, paw, other paw, stay and learning more. Recall is situationally good and starting to be familiar with patterns like sitting before going outside - but she's working each day on her commands. Goes into kennel willingly and often on her own when there is family downtime. She doesn't whine or mess in kennel. Prefers to snuggle in bed with someone. Good with kids and all adults. She is a little unaware of her size and can snuggle up a little rough (for small kids). Occasionally jumps up but can be redirected. Barks rarely and appropriately - when someone unknown enters home or when unsure of something or someone in community. Sheds some but not excessively. House training - not quite perfect but only 1 accident since she arrived on May 13th. Cherry is filled with love and affection.
