Iris is a happy, fun girl who at 3 1/2 years old has retired from the commercial breeding facility. She is looking forward to discovering life with a family who can give her a lot of attention, a little guidance, and lots of stuffed toys! Iris is attempting to catch on to the whole 'house training' concept and does not yet walk on a leash. She loves other dogs and sleeps quietly in her crate at night. Iris is happy to be in a home with toys and other dogs for playmates. She is a little shy at first but once she realizes you will not harm her, she loves attention. Iris is not house trained nor is she trained to walk on a leash. She is crate trained and sleeps all night without a peep. She adores stuffed toys and doesn't like to share so a submissive dog for a friend would be best. Iris is going through her second 'puppyhood' and has numerous puppy-like behaviors that will require patience and guidance. Iris will make a wonderful companion for some lucky family with a resident dog. Iris was very shut down when she arrived in rescue but with the help of her resident canine friends, has learned that human attention is a wonderful thing. Iris needs a home with patience with humans who will help her learn about the world and set her up for success. She absolutely must have a resident canine in her forever home and a securely fenced yard. Iris has some food allergies and should be kept on a grain free, or raw diet.
