Meet Magnificent Maxwell Sigornaphi a 96 pound, 6 year old German Shepherd. Max as we call him is looking for a home where his best qualities can shine! Here are things he likes and is good at: -Max is wonderful with all people, we mean all people- little, big, young and old! He meets strangers nicely and is happy to make new friends and say 'how do you do'. He has been around children as well and is respectful and gentle with them. He is not shy or skittish in the least, and has never met a person he didn't like. He is not too overly exuberant when meeting people either-he has wonderful manners and does not jump on or overwhelm new friends. -Max has nice manners in the house. He is well potty-trained, and was primarily an indoor dog so is very polite in the home. -Max walks very nicely on a leash. -Max is in great health and has had a lifetime of routine vet care. He is neutered, dewormed, up to date on all vaccinations, Heartworm negative, and microchipped. -Max is not much of a barker, only to alert to things such as a stranger coming to the door. -Max is a good eater and does not mind if people take food right out of his mouth. Here are some things Max would not like in his new home: -Other pets: Max doesn't get along with other dogs very well and is not good with cats. -Livestock: Max has chased and injured livestock before, but does just fine in a home where that is not a temptation. We think Max will shine in a home where he can be the only pet; a gold fish in a bowl is ok. He is a faithful companion and was a much-loved family pet. He lost his home due to unexpected family circumstances. Max has a big personality and is as loving and wonderfully mannered as can be.
