About Taylor

Adoption Fee: $25
American Shorthair / Domestic Cat
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Taylor has a sponsor who subsidized his fee to $25. He has been a shelter resident since March 29, 2017 Taylor arrived over a year ago as an ill kitty who also had skin issues. He had lost a lot of hair as he would soothe himself by constant licking to compensate for his stress at being in the shelter. In time his hair grew back as he became a bit braver and acclimated to being surrounded by kitties. He is serene and calm and purrs beautifully. He rarely asserts himself with cats who try to pick on him and will attempt to hide from them. Taylor is 2 1/2 yrs old. He is on the small side, a bit chubby and has lovely green eyes. He is neutered, fully vaccinated and tested free of FIV/FeLV. Taylor has been safely housed indoors for a long time and would be at risk for harm if outside. An indoor home preferably a quiet one (no drama) where everyone is nice to each other is being sought. Taylor enjoys visitors and would welcome potential adopters to spend time with him on the couch. If traveling a distance, it is suggested to submit an application in advance to complete the approval process. Online application: https://www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/%BD'%BD|/cat-adopti%BD'%BD|/ The online form may generate a 'Fatal Error' message after submission which is to be ignored. It is a system glitch. Adoption policies are detailed at the website under same tab as the application. We do out of state adoptions. All adopters must accompany their new family member on the journey home. We do not ship nor transport. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter which provides quality care, spay/neuter-all vaccines, deworming, vet exam, standard disease testing and for dogs-monthly heart worm prevention treatment. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are primarily owner relinquished and also accepted from local Animal Control. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open. Adoption hours are Tues-Sat 10-4 and Sun 1-4. Shelter location: 4823 Helen Hwy. 75N, Sautee, GA 30571 Shelter phone: 706-865-4135 Shelter email: [email protected] Charles Smithgall Humane Society is located 3 miles south of the alpine town of Helen in NE Georgia.
