Please help me place my senior Papillion dog in a loving home. I have had dog for 9 years and am no longer able to keep him. I have relocated out of state to care for my dying father. Due to my fathers poor health (COPD) and breathing issues I cannot bring a dog into his home so I had to leave him behind in TX. He has been cared for my a dog groomer who has tried to place him in a home but has struggled due to his age and now she also cannot keep him as she is moving and getting married. If a home is not found for him before the end of the month he will be euthanized and the dog deserves better than that. He still enjoys time at dog park and playing with other dogs but spends majority of his time curled up in pet bed or on a lap sleeping. This dog still has several good years of life in him and is absolutely a beautiful Papillion. If he is not picked up by Monday, 5/28 he will be Euthanized on 5/29. Please - somebody help my dog. I hate that I had to make the choice of my father or the dog but it simply had to be done. Now I'm just sick over this and my heart is breaking at thought of his fate. Please help.
