About Bentley (Benny)

Bentley is a rescue from Alabama. He was brought to the Greater Androscoggin Humaine Society as a 3mo puppy where we adopted him almost immediately after arrival. He has been a very loved close member of our family; like another child to me. He is very loyal, which can sometimes lead to him being protective of his family. However, with proper introduction and a sense of freedom to 'inspect' visitors he warms up quickly seeking love from everyone. He was great with our cat, always hoping to play, but often realizing no matter how gentle he was it wasn't going to happen. He loves the outdoors, walks, swimming and playing fetch. When inside he does great with maintaining composure and has not been much of a chewer nor causing any destruction since his puppy days. He attended obedience classes at 6-8 mo old at Canine Beahvior Counseling with the 10star rated Judy Rapp Moore in Cumberlandand Center, ME. Unfortunately we have come to one of the hardest decisions in our lives where I must help Bentley (Benny) find another loving home due to us moving where dogs are not an option. Im looking for a home where he can hopefully get more time outdoors and get to go on more trips. He was never around dogs much, and he loves being the center of attention, of course willing to share the love with his brother and sisters (my children.) I would recommend he go to a home with no other dogs, unless of course there would be proper attentiveness while he adjusts. He's an amazing dog who smiles often, knowing when I too might need to smile more, and can continue to be such in the love of amazing and responsible dog lovers.
