About Monty

Hello my name is Monty!! I was pulled from Rowan County Animal Shelter by my rescue people on my last day to live. I was so glad someone finally came for me because I was beginning to wonder if I was ever going to get out. I am listed as an adult and the vet said middle aged. She tried to tell by my teeth but I have chewed on something that has wore my teeth down so she can't really get a precise age. She said I look and act to be around 4 since I have no grey. I have scars on my snout and ears where I had to defend myself from mean dogs that wanted to beat up on me. I am a little fella and only 32 pounds. I am now an inside doggie and I don't know what to think since these nice people are petting me, feeding me and showing me lots of love. I have been fully vetted, heart worm negative, neutered, micro chipped, dewormed, vaccinated and on heart worm preventatives. I like my doggy and cat friends and feel so loved now. My foster mom said she has never heard me growl or bark. I only want to be accepted and loved so I can make new friends that wont hurt me. I also ride well in the car and want to be close to my people so I can snuggle and feel safe. No matter how hard my life was before, I don't have a mean bone in my body and just want to love you and be your best friend. I show no type of aggression over food or anything. I am a very quiet dog and really don't know what toys are. I don't think I have ever seen toys. I am also crate trained and do not fuss or whine while in my crate. I am working on potty training since this is all new to me. If I lift my leg in the house my foster mom says no and then I go outside and potty. She says I'm doing good considering I've been an outside dog. Can you please help me find my forever family so I will be loved forever and be kept safe for the rest of my doggie days?
