About Randolph Raven

Adoption Fee: $75
Maine Coon / Norwegian Forest Cat
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Randolph Raven is a handsome chocolate black long hair male approx. 5yr. His adoption fee is $75. He is good with other cats, older kids and has been around calm dogs. I spent 15 min in the house taking pictures and of course he was frightened of me and ran. I would think a quieter and calm environment would be helpful in his adjusting process. Also loving and patient people because he is leaving everything he has ever known. Over the years an animal loving man saved many kitties that cruel people threw out like trash. They became his family and he was committed. Sadly, an unexpected event happened and he lost his house. He can't take all of his beloved pets/family members with him but is taking the 4 'with issues'. He didn't take the easy way out and dump his responsibility on the kill shelters. He made the effort. PETS ARE FAMILY MEMBERS. PLEASE GET HELP IF YOU CAN NOT KEEP A PET. MAKE THE EFFORT! Raven has been with his dad since he was found as a tiny kitten in a hot parking lot. He has lived in a quiet loving home with 10 other kitties. With his dad he is fun, playful, loving. He is more reserved/shy than his twin brother Sherlock who he will race and chase thru the house. But it may have just been not knowing me. The two are great company for each other if you are looking to add 2 new family members. In the evening the cats will vie for a place to lay on 'dad' while he is laying on the couch and he will be right there along with the rest of them. He loves to be brushed, snuggle on dad's lap and get scratched behind the ears. He comes when called and loves his kitty treats. He loves to be brushed and will seek out dad's company. He is the one that greets him at the door when he comes home. Again to all who are interested in him, this isn't going to happen overnight. He needs patience and time to get to know you, for you to win him over, but will be your best friend if you give him a chance. Too many male AND female cats are getting the UTI - urinary tract infection and crystals in their urine. It's a blockage, it's painful and if ignored will lead to death. Vets say the hard food is at fault because it does not deliver enough liquids. A quality hard food along with a can of food a day is a must for cats to help manage their fluids. Dry foods that help maintain UTI health are Hills, Royal Canine and Purina Pro Plan Urinary Tract Health. Cats/Kittens are an 18 year commitment! They need a cat tree, laser lite, inside home ADOPT Randolph Raven FOR LIFE!
