About Pookie Choo

Adoption Fee: $75
Maine Coon / Ragdoll
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Pookie Choo is a beautiful orange black brown female approx. 6yr. Her adoption fee is $75. She has been vet checked and spayed. She is good with older kids, nice cats. Dogs? She would be great as the only pet. Mom passes away and the adult kids toss her 2 beloved inside only cats, outside!! Being disoriented they ended up in the neighbors backyard where the dogs killed one. Pookie is a survivor. She has a healing bite wound at the base of her tail but we are thankful she is alive. PETS ARE FAMILY MEMBERS. PLEASE GET HELP IF YOU CAN NOT KEEP A PET. MAKE THE EFFORT! What a love. After everything she has gone thru she meets foster mom, jumps up on her lap wanting to be loved, she purrs and gives a little head butt. She is a social butterfly and will want to be where her people are. For not being taken care of since mom died, she still has a beautiful coat and she loves to be brushed and pampered. She is such a sweetie and basically would sit with you all day for love and attention. Rescue/foster mom has her in a bathroom with an open carrier. When she is frightened that is her safety zone for now. When people go in and visit she greets them. This time the door was left open and she heard dogs and a couple cats stood at the door. She retreated to the carrier, hissed and growled. I am not concerned, she showed no aggression just a reaction to being scared. She will adjust with a little patience and time. Too many male AND female cats are getting the UTI - urinary tract infection and crystals in their urine. It's a blockage, it's painful and if ignored will lead to death. Vets say the hard food is at fault because it does not deliver enough liquids. A quality hard food along with a can of food a day is a must for cats to help manage their fluids. Dry foods that help maintain UTI health are Hills, Royal Canine and Purina Pro Plan Urinary Tract Health. Cats/Kittens are an 18 year commitment! They need a cat tree, laser lite, inside home ADOPT Pookie Choo FOR LIFE!
