OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for ADULT dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. Also, our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months to get them completely vetted at our vet here in Houston. We will not allow our dogs/puppies to be adopted out of the area without being spayed/neutered. We spay/neuter puppies at 4 months old. Hey there future family. Where to start? I'm just as sweet as my name implies. I'm a petite young lady with impeccable manners-potty and crate trained. I had a really tough start, but I'm a smart girl and was able to survive on the scary Houston streets. I was rescued with my dozen sweet puppies by K-9 Angels and moved in with a loving foster family. I was an amazing momma and my babies were adopted by awesome families. Now it's my turn to find my happily ever after. I'm shy at the adoption center-it's just so noisy-but warm up pretty quickly once I get to know you. I sit patiently in my crate and wait for the perfect family to see how amazing this quiet little girl is. I get along with other dogs of all sizes and am good with kitties (even foster mom's mean kitty who likes to chase my tail-so rude!). I'm reserved the first day or two but I start to trust quickly and always enjoy a good pet. I can always be bribed with cream cheese and soft food-I love cream cheese. I would love a family to cuddle on the couch with, to sit on the back patio with and to meet at the door at the end of the day. I want my very own happily ever after. Foster mom says I'm her princess and every princess deserves a happily every after. Strawberry is a Female Rat Terrier Mix that we estimate to be born around 5/3/2015 and weighs 17 lbs. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month time frame it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready.
