About Peppi

Peppi - 9-10 yr Male Chihuahua 10 lbs We have had Peppi for 2 years, we rescued him from a kill shelter. Jennifer has been rescuing dogs for 20 years, and Peppi is the worst abused dog she has ever seen. Part of the reason he has been with us so long is that it took a lot of time for Peppi to realize he didn't have to fight for his life anymore, and relearn to trust and enjoy humans. Now he is the most affectionate, loveable, lap dog around. He gives good kisses and loves to be loved on. He does have some lasting physical damage, but it is minor. Peppi is a dog who craves being touched and being near his people. He is not fully housetrained, and needs to wear a male wrap. He is good on a leash. He loves going places, for walks, rides and playing with toys are all interesting to him. He takes a bit to allow a stranger to pet him, but after a few minutes of treats, all is good. He needs someone to commit to loving him and teaching him, Someone who will see the diamond in the rough! Peppi is fine around kids for short periods. He tolerates other dogs and is fine with cats. He is also crate trained and is not a big barker. He does have food/treat aggression but it is easily managed. Adoption fee $ 150
