OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for ADULT dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. Also, our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months to get them completely vetted at our vet here in Houston. We will not allow our dogs/puppies to be adopted out of the area without being spayed/neutered. We spay/neuter puppies at 4 months old. Hi! My name is Toby! We aren't sure 'what' I am, but my foster mom just keeps telling me I'm 'such a good boy.' I've been in my new foster home for over a week and I've already learned 'sit,' and to go potty in the background (for the most part). She tells me all the time that I'm very smart! I still have occasional accidents in the house but I'm really trying my best! I love to play with all of my new toys and my foster mom and we are working on learning how to play with my doggie foster sister. I forget that I'm bigger than her sometimes, so sometimes we don't get along, but I'm only a puppy and still learning. I don't mind my crate at all and don't cry at all when it's time to go to bed. I sleep the whole night in it without making a sound, as long as my foster mom takes me on potty breaks every three or four hours during the night. I even go into my crate on my own sometimes for my naps because I love my soft, fluffy bed! Other times, I nap on my foster mom's feet, because being around my new humans is my most FAVORITE THING IN THE WORLD! I'd love to snuggle with her all night if I could, but because I'm still working on potty training, my crate is just fine. While I don't seem to mind my doggie foster sister, humans are even better. I might be best in a one doggie home, as I get scared when I hear big dogs barking and I play a little rough with small dogs, but I am still a puppy so I can probably learn how to play more gently. I also don't bark much at all and love being inside, so I wouldn't mind an apartment as long as I am taken out enough to potty. Most importantly, I love hugs, ear and belly rubs, and human love Toby is a Male Vizsla / Shepherd Mix that we estimate to be born around 12/15/2017 and currently weighs 20 lbs. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month time frame it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready.
