About Yoda

Domestic Cat
Age: Senior
Sex: Male

Yoda is a male, orange tabby, neutered, has his shots--DECLAWED IN FRONT. He has gone to the same vet since I found him so his vet records are available. I am in rapidly declining health, no longer able to do the simplest tasks of care such as feed/water and clean the litter box. I am barely mobile, falling a lot. I took him in as a tiny, horribly flea bitten feral kitten rescued from a storm drain about 10 years ago. He's timid and shy but for Yoda it's all about him anyway--a place in your lap, petting, food and sleep. He doesn't play a whole lot. His favorite toys are the plastic ring off of the plastic gallon milk jug and very small cloth toy animals (his favorite of all time was a little cloth Santa from a Xmas gift box). But most of all he loves hunting bugs and will keep your house bug free (I'm seeing at least a couple of bugs a day now that he's one!). He has ALWAYS used and shared his litter box with other cats. He'd be perfect for an elderly person/couple because he won't get underfoot but will be up on your lap once he gets to know you. He's not suitable for a noisy/active house as he is timid and shy. He will probably hide out the first few days or week until he knows who's feeding him and has the lay of the land but once he feels safe he will be in your lap with the happiest, most satisfied of looks on his face. He is not combative or aggressive at all, he just hides until he's certain his human parent(s) are alone--once he feels safe he might timidly come out when others are there but not often. He had some tooth infection a few years ago so he has very few teeth left and MUST be fed wet food since he can't chew food, no special diet though. He has always been a skinny/boney little guy. He has a little arthritis in his right hip and/or leg that comes and goes, so every now and then you'll see him holding a back leg up and/or limp around. He is now adoptable through the Bartlesville ARF Rescue as I could no longer care for him.
