About Luna

There wasn't enough time for me. Luna was born about June 11, 2013 and weighs about 60 lbs. This pretty blond has plenty of energy and loves to run around the yard, maybe with another dog, and when she gets excited she hops up and down like a pup! She also adores her leash walks and is used to a retractable leash. She enjoys snacking on apples and carrots and her preferred food is the Triumph chicken formula. Luna may want to be the dominant dog in the family and has lived with a dog friend along with a few cats that she was fine with, but was caught herding them now and then. Luna is very loyal and loving, she enjoys cuddling, touching, and looks forward to a good scratch - she simply adores attention and her humans. She is here because her human dad worked too much and his girlfriend sustained a brain injury and allergies to Luna, there just wasn't enough time and she was left home alone for 12 hour stretches. If left this long she may chew something inappropriate and did enjoy a hearty nylabone. Luna has a protective side of her home and humans. It may take her a couple of times to get to know someone well. Judging by what we were told she may be one of those dogs that should be crated or put in another room when company arrives and once everyone is settled she could be let out to enjoy the festivities. She has not been around kids any younger than teens, but was fine with them.
