Major Cuteness! Bella was born about September 10, 2017 and will likely top out about 13 lbs. She is fun, funny, very playful and busy! She bops around and you'll need to be careful of open doors since she has gotten around us a couple of times and we are really good at not letting dogs out accidentally. It's not that she wants to run away, she just wants to go where you go. She is good on leash and was fine in the car. Bella is simply the life of the party and loves to play with other dogs! She came to us from a repeat supplier, as we call them, that is having health issues. Lucky girl to have made it here and even luckier when she finds that amazing forever home. Bella's foster family has noticed she lifts one rear leg for a few minutes and then she's raring to go again. It is likely she has a luxating patella which so many small dogs do and because they are small, they do just fine because they can left the leg if there is any discomfort and when the knee cap adjusts back to normal they are good to go again. Veterinarians used to recommend surgery on patellas, but surgery is not that common anymore unless it's a high grade luxation. From Bella: 'Hi! I'm so glad you are taking the time to consider me as your new furry friend! I'm in a foster home right now as they met me and couldn't resist my cuteness (I totally get it). I have a sunny, happy-go-lucky personality and I love to play, I absolutely love my tennis ball! I could play fetch for hours! My foster mom takes me on car rides and I love it! I don't mind being in the crate as I want to stay safe. When I'm out and about I'm told I'm the life of the party, I love everyone! When I see a kid I get super excited, they are just so fun! A crate inside the house I'm not thrilled about but with time I calm down. My foster family has guinea pigs that I like to watch, and I even met one of them and I did fantastic under their supervision. I'm your typical puppy and I do love to chew, and shoes are fun for me so my next home should make sure there aren't shoes laying around. I'm good about going on the potty pads, but I have some work to do as far as going outside, I'm learning. Now I hear this term 'luxating patella' which I guess means my knee cap pops in and out at times. I don't really notice it because it doesn't happen often, but it doesn't bother me. If it happens I slow down for a minute and then I'm ready to go again! I love my foster family, but still need a home of my very own - maybe with you?
