Meet Amber This gorgeous young dog is repeatedly overlooked and we have no idea why. She is absolutely gorgeous with an awesome, kid-friendly personality. We pulled Amber from Animal Control on May 10, 2018. Amber is growing into a pretty perfect dog with the help of some wonderful volunteers. Amber is 2.6 years old. She's thought to be a hound mix, but who really knows. We do know that she's very pretty with a gorgeous caramel colored coat, paws dipped in white and the biggest of floppy ears. She has a lot of energy and is always game for a walk or run in the yard. An active family that includes Amber in their activities would be best to help Amber be her best dog. Amber walks calmly in a harness. She loves going into town where she can see other people and dogs, but she also loves hikes in the woods. She eagerly jumps into a car and rides well. She enjoys the adventure and it keeps her mind active. Amber has learned several commands like sit and wait and she is able to focus making training her easy. Amber loves being with other dogs, especially her new bestie, Saber. Amber may be too interested in cats, but we can check that for potential adopters. Amber is afraid of water and thunderstorm and could use a bit of reassurance when bad weather rolls in. As you can see, she's pretty perfect. It's hard to understand why this wonderful girl does not have a home. If you're able to open your heart and home to our best girl, come meet Amber. She will reward you with a lifetime of loyalty and smother you in kisses and comfort for the rest of her life. Amber is microchipped, fully vetted and spayed.
