About Mango3

LOCAL ADOPTION ONLY - PENSACOLA, FL AREA: This cute little boy is Mango, an 11 week old Chiweenie (Chihuahua/Dachshund mix) who weighs just shy of 3 pounds. Based on his parents size we think he will be 5 pounds or under when fully grown. He and his brother Kiwi (already adopted!) were being given away for FREE on Craigs List at only 6 weeks old. Thankfully someone in our rescue saw it and reached out and was able to go get them where they were living in a bad situation and they were both very underweight. Mango is incredibly smart and has mastered stairs, comes when called and is doing very well with potty training on puppy pads. He will grasp outside potty training very quickly but should not be outside unattended due to his size. He LOVES riding in the car, big fluffy friendly cats (currently lives with five), warm baths, and belly rubs. We would love to see Mango go to a home with another small playful dog as he absolutely loves to play. Like most puppies, he will play until he is exhausted. His favorite places to chill out seem to be on the floor in the sunshine streaming through the window�'�|or if available, on your shoulder or behind your neck while you sit on the couch. Mango is not be suitable in a home with small children or large dogs due to his tiny size. He is very outgoing and goofy and has yet to meet a stranger. He has been around a dozen people at a time and just makes the rounds like the social butterfly he is! Mango is very curious and adventurous, along with being affectionate and wiggly. He will bounce on his two hind legs like a pogo stick and will whine and yip if you are ignoring him for too long. Mango is not a barker at all even when initiated by other dogs. Mango has been microchipped. Due to his age, he has not been neutered but the cost of this procedure is included in his adoption fee ($325) providing it is done at our vet.
