About Godiva-kitty

My name is Godiva. I got my name because of my beautiful coat of a few shades of brown. And I've got some breaking news for you!! I am a brand new cat! I had a rough few months. I was picked up by animal control and spent 4 weeks in a shelter until a really nice lady with a really big heart brought me to a rescue. My first foster mom tried to connect with me for a couple of months but I had a really hard time. She even thought I was deaf at one point because I was so shut down. Then the rescue ladies thought maybe it was the other cat in the house that was scaring me so another foster mom and dad took over. And with a lot of patience ( and some baby talk in Russian) I have completely come out of my shell! I feel like I was born again or something like that. Lol! Although I've come a verrrry long way, I would do best in a quiet home with no other pets or kids, where someone is there a lot and is willing to help me trust and continue to realize I'm safe now. I'm still very scared of loud noises or sudden movements so that's why a quiet home with no kids or other pets is ideal. I'm looking for my very own cat lady, cat guy or cat couple to help me get through this because I'm as sweet as the expensive chocolates I'm named after. I do need someone with patience and with cat experience and, if you speak a little Russian baby talk, that couldn't hurt either! It might just be purrrrfect! Godiva is an adult, female spayed Siamese cat. She is estimated to be between 2-4 years old.
