Meet the gracious Wallaby a seriously senior Australian Shepherd weighing 53 pounds who came to the Josephine County Animal Shelter with a serious skin irritation;%A0 his fur is so sparse except for his sweet bushy head and tuffs on his toes with a giant rabbit-like stubby tail that wiggles non stop delighted to receive all the attention he can get. This lad is blind,%A0 but this doesn't stop him from assimilating into home life. Currently in a loving foster home with other pets, his foster mom has this to say about sweet Wallaby. 'He is a really lovely dog that I suspect was raised with a cat- as he loves our black cat Inky. He gets around wonderfully and follows voice commands beautifully as long as you ask him nicely and help him see what he is supposed to do. He loves to sleep on the couch and adores%A0 a kitty friend. I cannot say enough of just how lovely he is. Although his skin is smooth, his fur is sparse.' Wallaby is blind, his foggy blue eyes follow your voice with love, appreciation and adoration. He%A0 is a quiet gentleman looking forward to a patient doting family to call his own. Up to date on all vaccines, neutered and micro chipped. Please contact the Josephine County Animal Shelter at 541 474- 5458 or Raleigh at [email protected]
