Meet FINLEY an adorable 1 year old 50lb all American Shelter pup who appears to be a sweet mix of heeler and pointer. FINLEY was just rescued from an overcrowded kill shelter where he was a volunteer favorite. Shelter volunteers love him and say: 'he is a bit shy, and slightly submissive, but he is VERY sweet!!! He rolled over in his kennel as soon as he saw us to offer his belly! He was NOT so sure about the leash, he has obviously never been on one. He tried to pull back a lot, but we were able to 'convince' him to come out with us. He got better and better as we went along! He stopped at almost every kennel on the way out the door, some of it was probably because he didn't like the leash, but he WAS checking out everyone he stopped at! He is VERY sweet! He was great with the cat as well! that was actually the most we saw his tail move after putting the leash on him! he leaned over me to sniff her, and licked her when she head butted him. It was very cute! he just needs to build some confidence and needs some more work on the leash, and he will be a perfect guy!' FINLEY is new to rescue so there will be much more about him soon.
