About Jeff

Jeff here! Please allow me to introduce miself. I go by Jeff, Jefferson, Snowshoes, Captain, and El Jefe. I'm a 6-year-old American Bulldog, and I've been told I'm quite handsome. I've moved on from my past where I was left high and dry, and now enjoy the finer things in life. Some may call me a couch spud, as my favorite thing to do is to watch Netflix and chill next to that special someone(s). But don't worry, I'm more than happy to give you your space and get comfy on the floor. Don't get me wrong, however! I occasionally get a burst of energy and enjoy a good romp in the backyard, where I use my jumbo Chewbacca paws to trot with much glory. I can be a bit clumsy, but please don't judge! I'm a total foodie, and I also love a good car ride or the occasional walk on the leash to smell the roses! My worst fear is that someone will leave me at the altar-AGAIN! I'm hoping they can look past my age, as it is but a number. Since no one is perfect, I do have one imperfection- I sometimes care too much�'�|about my food! I enjoy my 2 square meals each day and prefer to eat in peace without being interrupted by millennials (who doesn't, honestly?!) I am very much a people doggo! I love meeting new people and thrive on human interaction! Some may call me a stage-5 clinger, but I prefer the term eager beaver! I'm a big, goofy bundle of enthusiasm, so I need to join a family with adults or older children. Being an only child definitely appeals to me, but I would also probably enjoy the company of one other large dog. That being said, three's a crowd for me. I'm indifferent to small dogs, and don't know what a 'cat' is (I've heard mixed things). A few humble brags: I'm housetrained (up to 12 hours); I have a few tricks up my sleeve-I respond to my name, and know 'sit,' 'stay,' 'come,' and 'lay down'. I love to sleep in! (rarely up before 9am!) My owners trust me completely and leave me alone in the house. I make them proud and stay right by the door waiting for them to return-I do NOT chew things up. I've been told that my natural purring, grunting, and snorting sounds make me very distinguished. As the great rap artist Drake once said, 'I started from the bottom now we're here.' I too, have come very far in my 6 years of life, and am at the pinnacle of my game. Unfortunately, my owner was unexpectedly injured and because of medical issues, he and his wife can no longer take care of me. They are devastated to have to part with me; and want to ensure that I go to a home that is just as loving and understanding as theirs. In fact, they are willing to do anything to help the transition to my future (forever!) home. I really am just a flexible, go-with-the-flow, laid back kinda guy. All I ask for is a soft place to lay my head at night and much of the day ;) and lots of love back from my owner.
