This is the first and required step of the adoption process. Meet Shelby. This fantastic, snuggly girl was an unclaimed stray. According to some urgent posts on Facebook, this girl was found near a bridge in a nearby county and spotted there for several days. People would stop and she would shy away and wouldn't come to anyone. We heard the news and went out and scooped her up. We are so glad we did, because she couldn't be more perfect. Shelby is likely just under a year old. She weighs about 48 pounds. She is house trained and crate trained. She does very well with other dogs and would like do well with children who are gentle. She LOVES to snuggle. She will curl up next to you on the couch and especially loves sleeping in bed with her people. She is fairly quiet in the house and gentle taking treats. Shelby is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and on preventatives.
