About TUG

'TUG' is an adorably cute 4 yr old, 55 lb. Shar Pei/Lab mix that was rescued from a very high kill pound. TUG is a sweet, gentle, playful and exceptionally good-natured boy who is everybody's pal. He smiles & his tail gently wags, like a metronome keeping tempo. Tug gets along marvelously with all other dogs, regardless of size. He also will sit & cuddle in your lap, like a baby. Everyone who meets Tug loves him ... he really is that special! He has a white & fawn colored coat and spots of dark pigment on his skin. Tug is 'heart worm positive' and is undergoing treatment for this highly & successfully treatable condition, which the rescue will continue to provide until fully treated. Tug is neutered, has been de-wormed, is current on vaccinations, on monthly heart worm preventative, crate-trained, house-trained and micro-chipped. All of our rescued dogs have been on a nutritional regime which includes high quality food and supplements (ex., probiotics; vitamins, etc). This is done to bolster their immune systems and overall health; the result benefits their adoptive family with a pooch who has a lustrous coat, bright shiny eyes, and happy and healthy disposition.
