About Cheyenne

German Shepherd
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Meet Cheyenne - one very intelligent and sweet young lady! Cheyenne is an 18 month old, 50 pound German Shepherd Dog. She actually thought she had a brand new home after being in a local county shelter, but at the last minute, the adopter reconsidered. Underdog Ranch did not want to put her back into a shelter environment, so here she is! Cheyenne is a wonderful girl - a great house dog and loves to play outside as well! She gets along great with children as well as other dogs. She hasn't been tested with cats yet, so we're not sure how she acts around them. Presently she is underweight. She weighs about 50 pounds but can stand to gain another 15 pounds or so. Good groceries and a good and happy life will help Cheyenne to fill out nicely! This gal is heartworm positive, but don't let that stop you from meeting her! She is currently undergoing the slow-kill method of treatment which involves 30 days of an antibiotic and Advantix-Multi given every 2 weeks for a specific time period, and then Heartgard given monthly. We've chosen this method because Cheyenne is quite young and the heartworm infection is in its beginning stages. Cheyenne has been spayed and is up to date with vaccinations. Her eventual adopter will not be asked for a formal adoption fee but rather have the opportunity to make a tax-deductible contribution to Underdog Rescue. They will also be given a year's worth of heartworm prevention. If this pet interests you or you have any questions about this pet, please fill out an online application at http://udranch.com/adoption-application/ and we will be happy to answer any questions and arrange a visit!
