About Ebony

Meet Ebony everyone! She is an 8 years young, beautiful black Pomeranian, with a few gray highlights around her face and ears. She weighs around 9 pounds. Ebony is good with other dogs but is not so much into playing anymore. She prefers a quiet, laid back environment where she gets all the attention she deserves. She likes her own space. Ebony hasn't been tested with children or cats but she loves hanging with everybody else she has met so far. She is very affectionate and will take all the attention you can offer. She doesn't care who you are just as long as you give her the attention she has craved for so long. She was retired from a breeder and is longing for the R & R she has earned up until now. She is not very excited about being outside other than to do her business and prefers to be inside otherwise. She is still working on her potty training skills, which is expected coming from a breeder situation where her freedom had been restricted. However, she is very smart and we are confident she will improve given a solid routine and frequent breaks outside. A little guidance, a little patience and love will go a long way to helping her get there. She doesn't like to be crated or kept in a small area and likes to know where everybody is when in the house. She is up to date on shots, microchipped and is heart worm positive. The treatment for heart worm is simple and inexpensive when caught early and her future owner would need to agree to continue that treatment. The rescue will pay for retests every 6 months until she tests negative. She is quick to let you know if she gets into a situation she doesn't like. Ebony is a beautiful, affectionate dog that could probably spend as much time as you have available just snuggling in your lap being loved on. Definite lap dog and proud of it! She doesn't need to be in a home with other dogs as long as she has your company as often as you are available. She would do better in a situation where she is not alone for long periods of time. If you are looking for a loving companion and can handle this cuteness overload, Ebony will give you as much love as you can stand. She is longing to be your forever furbaby.
