OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for ADULT dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. Also, our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months to get them completely vetted at our vet here in Houston. We will not allow our dogs/puppies to be adopted out of the area without being spayed/neutered. We spay/neuter puppies at 4 months old. Hi, my name is Gretel. I was rescued by K-9 Angels with my brother Hansel, and we have been fostered together, but I am my own independent puppy and looking to be adopted soon. My foster Mom says I'd do really well in a home with at least one other dog since I'm used to sharing a home with several dogs and enjoying all their company. If you'd like to also adopt my brother Hansel, that would be really special! But, more about me�'�|I'm a very happy little explorer! I love to play with toys, sticks, June bugs, and children. June Bugs are my specialty�'�|I am really smart about tracking them and pawing at them in the late evening time. I love everyone I've met so far. I've never met a cat before, but I think it would go ok too. I do like to talk a lot (bark) when I play with other dogs so be ready to hear my cute little voice, but I'm quiet when I need to be. My favorite things to do are give kisses and get my belly rubbed. I'm pretty much potty-trained but might still have a few accidents if not let outside to walk or play after several hours. I can hold my bladder all night though when I sleep in my kennel. And I am a quiet sleeper too! I also know how to walk on a leash and really do enjoy taking neighborhood walks. I really want my loving forever home soon! Gretel is a Female Dachshund Mix that we estimate to be born around 3/3/2018. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month time frame it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready.
