About Lincoln and Beaumont

These two beautiful cats are perfectly healthy and must be adopted as a pair. Both are microchipped, neutered males and currently live with me (and my other two cats). I originally adopted these boys from a shelter in California when they were approximately 4 months of age. They were placed in that shelter at 8 weeks of age. These cats are not in immediate danger; however my home is not the best place for them. They are very anxious with/around people and spend most of their time hiding. I have spent the last year trying to work with them as best I can, but with a fairly demanding job I am simply not at home enough to fix their anxiety problem. I have worked with my vet to try a few anxiety medications and we have had no success. What they need is time, patience, and someone who is at home more than I am. These boys need much more attention than I can provide. I'm not sure what happened to them at the shelter, or previous to being placed in a shelter, but it can't have been good. They get along great with my other two adopted cats (both also neutered males). They are not aggressive in any way - just afraid. They do not like fast movements or loud noises. On the occasions they allow you to pet them, they purr and seem to enjoy the attention. They are not aggressive around young children; however they will hide. I believe the best home for them will be with adults that either work from home, or simply are at home to provide them with attention and encouragement they need to feel safe and regain trust with people.
