My name is Stormy because that's how my life has been! I was given away once and then found myself in a shelter. I think that was a blessing because I got to go to Augusta Dog Adoptions! No one had every bothered to have me spayed or to get my rotten teeth taken care of! All that is done now and I'm ready to find a great home to spend the rest of my life! I'm a little shy and nervous by nature but I'm doing much better now that I feel safe. I am house trained and I am in a foster home with other dogs and cats and kids. I am tolerant of well behaved children but prefer the peace and quiet. I would be a perfect for an older couple (or a lazy couple) who just wants to sit around and cuddle me all day! I think I am about 6-7 years old. Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all volunteer, foster based rescue. We take applications online and hold adoption events at Petsmart in Waynesboro, Va every Saturday. $175.00 adoption fee ($200 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough) , microchipped and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dentals and major surgeries.
