About Joe

Joe came to me @ 9 months old- he will be a year old as of May 29th, 2018. He was abused and neglected, and will need someone to continue his socialization with people. He prefers to take his time meeting new people and was very scared coming to a new home. But he has loved learning how to be a dog in a home where he is loved and cared for and free to be a dog! He will need a patient person/family who is able to take things slow with joe. He is looking for a long term relationship: he loves long walks, short walks, and a good game of fetch and eating grass. Potty training is mostly complete, but he is not very great with communicating his needs and occasionally has had accidents but we are working on that! IMPORTANT: Joe needs someone who has *patience* to guide him and love him and help him learn how to be a great dog. He's already incredible, but his first family who had him from 2months old till 9 months old really didn't help him much. He learned fear from them and he was crated for 16+ hours every day. Joe is a very shy dog, but he has already come a very long way socially in the couple months I have been fostering him!
