Donut, aka Tazzy (shelter name), a 6-year-old, female, terrier mix, was rescued by the Dexter Foundation from the high kill Carson Shelter. She is such a sweet and loyal companion. She is a very loving and an easy going little girl looking for a new home! When she got lost from her family, she patiently waited at the shelter for them to rescue her. No one ever came. Sadly, Donut was injured and ran out of time. When we heard she was going to be euthanized, we had to rush a volunteer out to get her! We had Donut thoroughly examined by our vet, and she is doing very well. She has a little arthritis in her neck and legs, and has a wobbly little walk, but is otherwise fine. Other than a few over the counter supplements like fish oil, Donut is not on any medication and is otherwise healthy. She gets along well with other dogs and children. She likes cats a little too much, so should probably go to a cat-free home. Donut likes to cuddle and play ball. She's house trained, quiet, well behaved and very easy going. She would do best in a home where someone is home most of the time as she does have separation anxiety when left for long periods of time. Donut weighs about 10 lbs, is spayed, fully vaccinated including rabies and microchipped. If you or someone you know is interested in adopting Donut, please comment below or send me a private message and fill out this adoption application. Thank you!
