About Star

Very special adopter (possible foster to adopt) needed for this little nugget, Star. We aren't going to sugar coat it- finding a home for this girl is going to be a long shot. She is only about 3 years old and weighs just under 5 lbs. She quite obviously had a very difficult start in life, which has left her with some serious baggage. She is fear aggressive and will bark and charge at new people and dogs. We have had her over a year and we are now just able to pet her on her terms and occasionally pick her up. She needs someone with a pure heart and patience who will commit to providing her a safe place and allow her to build trust on her terms. She is food and toy possessive, as well. She is potty pad trained perfectly and when she is comfortable can be the sweetest, funniest little thing. She knows how to sit and takes treats gently. She loves playing with her stuffy toys and will throw them in the air to herself. She is very food motivated, so that is a huge plus in working with her. We started some clicker training, but would love to see someone who has the time to really work with her one on one.
