About Daisy Mae

Daisy is approximately 5 years old and what we affectionately call a 'pocket' Dane. She is a very small girl, weighing approximately 80lbs. She is a tripawd with amputation of the rear leg due to injury/trauma NOT cancer. Daisy was adopted from shelter and surrendered to us because she did not get along with the resident dog. Daisy is also high drive. She can climb ad 4 foot fence, loves to run, loud in her crate with barking when she wants out but otherwise not a indiscriminate barker. Excellent attitude towards people and children over 12 years old would be okay. No resource guarding whatsoever with people. Not so with other dogs and must be fed alone. This Dane would do well with exercise and further obedience work. She is extremely food motivated. Honestly Daisy is a handful and not a great candidate for a disabled veteran as we had hoped. But she has life in her and a huge capacity to love and be loved. Perhaps she is right for you.
