About AJ

This is AJ (aka 'wrinkles'), an 8 year old male (neutered) Shar Pei mix who's been in my foster care for about a week so far! He was surrendered by his owner who was no longer able to take care of him, and has been there since about January 2018. He is an absolute sweetheart and honestly one of the easiest dogs I've ever fostered (and I dont say that often) - I would love to find him the best forever home. He's completely house broken - in fact, I was told he sometimes gets carsick and after our long drive home from the shelter I showed him around the house, where his bed was, and what toys he could play with and only then when I took him outside did he relieved himself in the yard - I was beyond impressed. He is an absolute sweetheart and so eager to please. He loves to see what you're doing around the house, but also innately gives you space. He's a gentle player and is down to play when you are, but if you have things to do he's also content to just lay down or play by himself. In the past few months AJ has had allergy and stress issues that have lead to him losing some of the hair on his belly and legs, which is why the shelter is really not the ideal place for him. This gentleman would love to sleep at your feet and stretch and yawn with you in the morning, and he won't judge you for sleeping in. He'll happily join you!
