Solo is a two year old Mountain Cur and Plott hound(?) mix, we think. He was rescued as a 6 month old stray from Alabama by my roommate, who is now deploying to Kuwait for the national guard. He's recently had issues with my roommates small nephews, showing some aggression towards them. He's also become leash aggressive, and we don't feel comfortable taking him on walks or to the dog park. He's extremely high energy, and doesn't get nearly enough exercise. He loves treeing squirrels and rooting out chipmunks from the woodpile. He would make an excellent hunting or agility dog, with the proper training. He's extremely athletic and can easily jump 4 feet into the air. He's constantly seeking attention and loves to snuggle on the couch, when he finally tires. He's very food motivated, and will do anything for a treat. Solo needs a large plot of land and other dogs to play with while not on a leash, which we don't have. If we can't find someone to take him before my roommate is deployed, she may give him to the shelter which will probably euthanize him. Please help if you can- thanks!
