About Newton

Newton is safe with a couple who has started to travel for their jobs, and he needs a stable home with owner(s) who can be there for him. It's hard for him to have dog sitters, boarding, and so on. Newton was rescued 7 years ago after being abandoned; he has residual anxiety and fear from what was likely a neglectful and abusive environment in his younger years. He is very sweet, and he loves to cuddle. He is very healthy for a senior dog. He has had a couple of teeth pulled, that has been his only medical issue in the past 7 years. Newton gets along better with small dogs than big ones, and he's fine with cats. Very young children can scare him with their enthusiasm and unpredictability. He gets along fine with older children. He would do great with a person, couple, or family who has a predictable routine.
