About BOSLEY

This loyal guy has been through a lot. He came into the shelter with a pretty bad double ear infection and a severely infected tooth. He was pretty quiet and docile. He had dental surgery just two weeks later to find he had four missing teeth and four broken teeth requiring extraction as well. His infection was pretty bad, but after an additional two weeks of meds he was good. He is 8-10 years old but he is healthy now and has the spunk of a 5-7 year old. He loves walks and to play with you and his toys. He would do best in a home with older children (8+). He currently lives with a 2 year old child and 6 year old child, and the crying, screaming, tugging and pulling causes him some frustration. He has proven to be a good, loyal dog and is a good protector of the household. He is fully potty trained and crate trained. He knows basic commands, sit, stay, 'place' for his bed, etc... He does need to be the only dog. He has not been tested with cats, but he seems fine with the random Guinea Chickens and cats that roam the yard. He is good with strangers, both kids and adults, but again his patience is tested with young kids not respecting his space. He is not a runner, meaning when you open the door or walk out the door with him he will not run, he sticks right by your side. He is chipped, fully vaccinated, clean bill of health (happy to get proof from the vet), he had a full dental cleaning during the dental surgery, and he's neutered. He is ready for his forever home and wants to give a very lucky person or family lots of love!
