About Butch

Adoption Fee: $475
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Butch is a 2 year old , Old English Bulldog. He was impounded at Animal Control as a stray. Because he was limping he was limping very bad on his hind leg, he was available for rescue only and not to the public. We took Butch in and found out that his limping is not a new issue. At one point Butch suffered from a broken femur bone which was attempted to be fixed surgically. Unfortunately the surgical wire which was used caused an infection which must have progressed over months. By the time Butch came to us the infection was left to long untreated that amputation was the only option to save his life. Since Butch was so used to walking on 3 legs anyway, he adjusted after the amputation immediately and is now more mobile than he was before. It doesn't slow him down a bit. Butch has the typical Bulldog personality. Energetic, playful and very stubborn. He is a super friendly feller and gets along with all dogs and cats. He is great with kids and people and has never met a stranger. He walks well on a leash but still needs some touch up work with his potty training IMPORTANT: BUTCH is located in Georgia. Since it is an out of state adoption we require a personal history of current or previous dog ownership which can be verified by your current or previous veterinarian. We do not adopt out to first time dog owners. We are a rescue organization located with our dogs in Georgia. We do NOT have a shelter in MA but have weekly transport available for our pups to relocate up north with their new forever families. Since a meet and greet is not possible prior to adoption, our adopters make their decision to adopt based on pictures, videos and talking to the foster parent once your application is submitted. His adoption fee is $475 which includes transport cost, traveling certificate, all vaccines, heartworm test, neuter and micro chip. OUR ADOPTION FEES ARE NOT NEGOTIABLE !!!!
