About Addie

Addie is a special girl to us here at the shelter. She was adopted in late December of 2017. She was away from us for 4 months enjoying her new home. Her owner had to return her due to the owners serious medical issues. It was hard for us, but we welcomed her back with open arms. Addie had been with us since October of 2016 when she was finally adopted, and now she has found herself back at the shelter by no fault of her own. She is an almost 5 year old boxer mix. She is leash trained and enjoys going on leisurely strolls. She is also mostly house broken, we do encourage planning on some reminder training in her new environment. Her smile is bright and wide when she's really enjoying herself. Her favorite activities are snuggling up on the couch and being around her human. Her kind of love is the most pure and loyal kind you'll find around. Addie is very protective of her people. She is loyal to a select few, and fearful of others. She shows her fear with her growl and she has bitten. She is particular to women and fearful of most men and unsure of children. Addie could make a great guard dog for a single lady, although she really bonded with her last owner who was male. She may required a couple of meet and greets with you to be fully comfortable and ready to go home. The dedication you put in visiting her will pay dividends with love, cuddles, and happiness.
