[Read About Natural Incontinence Care] Update 6/7: Shaggy our senior boy needs a home. He needs a home now. His health is deteriorating and we don't think he has much time left with us. He is such a sweet boy. We don't know his history beyond rescuing him from the shelter a month ago but we think he could tell a few old man stories. He is in a foster home where he is safe, but he needs to be with someone that is home all day or home more than away. He longs for someone to just be right there with him and we need to place him now, because that's what he deserves. He deserves to be loved and doted on, and for someone to have patience and time for him as all he looks for is someone to just be there with him. He is weak on his feet and can't take walks, but he sure loves a comfy bed and treats! This boy loves to eat! Food gives him much joy. We know the right person is out there that can take in a 12 year old boy and honor him with love. Shaggy's foster mom must leave out of town this weekend so we really need to get him to a new home this weekend, and while it's going to be hard for his foster mom to give him up as she really loves him, she will feel so much better if she can give him the gift of a real home. Shaggy is low maintenance. He has been to the vet in the last week and he is on a medication once daily for his arthritis. Big dogs and hyper dogs scare Shaggy because they knock him over, but if you had a place that Shaggy could be with you and not bothered by other dogs, he would be fine. Cats don't bother him. Shaggy is neutered, current on rabies and DHLPP and bordetella vaccines, current on Nexgard flea prevention. He is starting to show signs of incontinence. Shaggy's adoption fee has been waived. If you can help us with this poor sweet boy, please contact us right away. Shaggy is a very sweet twelve-year-old senior gentleman, wire haired terrier mix. He is current on vet care and pretty healthy for a senior dog. He showing some signs of arthritis in his hips and has a hard time getting up-and-down stairs. Hes looking for someone to take care of him and love him in his final years. We think he still has a lot of life left! He needs a quiet home where if he was the only dog, he would love that! He prefers to follow her person around and doesn't like to be left alone, so someone that is home a lot would be a great fit for him. Contact us if you would like to meet shaggy! He seems to be very curious about cats and does well around other small dogs from what we have seen.
