About Apollo

Meet Apollo��%BD%A0 Apollo is a 6-7-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback and Mastiff Mix. He was adopted last year, but was relinquished back to us. Apollo is a great pup who prefers to be in the company of humans. He has lived wih todlers up to older adults. He has been around other dogs, but we prefer him to be the only pup in the household. Apollo loves the water, loves to go on car rides and mostly likes to be around people. For as big as he is, he plays like a puppy. He has not had a chance to really be the best pup that he can be. Apollo will need some training again to establish rules and manners. He is very smart, playful, affectionate and will do best with a master who can set some ground rules so he can just relax a be a dog. He is gorgeous, strong, affectionate, fun loving, loves water, loves to play and loves to go for long walks. During some of his walks, he likes to go into the tall grass and look for lizards. During the summer he enjoys getting rinsed down by a cool shower or hose. Apollo has been known to hang out on the couch or under your feet when you are working. He also loves the beach, he loves the water and loves the birds. He has lived previously in a foster home with children. He would do best as the only dog in the home. People stop this big boy on the street to comment on his gorgeous strong stature and sweet face. He weighs in at about 90 pounds of solid muscle. He follows basic commands, he is neutered, up to date on his shots and is house trained. Like any dog, he needs to be taken out to potty but will let you know when he has to make. He loves to go on car rides. He is agile and can jump up onto the back bed of a truck. He loves to eat his treats and most of all he loves to be around people.
