About Bella

Bella is a relatively small pit bull at 35lb. Bella is the most wonderful dog at home and loves getting attention and cuddles. She listens well and just has so much love to give. Bella does have a couple behavior issues, those including aggression and anxiety. When she feels that someone is too close to her while on walks she feels the need to be protective and can be aggressive. She also becomes aggressive when someone else is in our home. At first we believed that her aggression came out of her anxiety as fear aggression as we adopted her a year ago and believed she had a bad past, but we've realized that a large factor is the fact that she's very protective of my boyfriend and I. She's gone to a training camp and has been boarded and once we're gone she immediately warms up to people and finds someone to trust (both men and woman), we've constantly gotten feedback about how sweet and friendly she's been. Aside from that, Bella has tons of energy, loves playing with her rope toys and chew bones and loves all treats! She's incredibly lovable and funny and once she warms up to you it's too easy to fall in love with her! She's worth it all. Bella is on two medications daily to help maintain her anxiety, those being Clonidine and Fluoxetine. *IMPORTANT* Ideally, Bella needs someone that is able to fiscally support her when it comes to training and regular vet/behaviorist visits.. We love Bella dearly and don't want to let her go but we aren't able to get the help that she needs which is what has brought us to rehoming her.
