About Buck

This cute little guy is Buck, a 7-8 year old Terrier/Chihuahua Mix who weighs 9 pounds. He came to us from a hoarding situation in Alabama. He is a very sweet boy and can be a little shy at first. He does great with other dogs and enjoys playing with them. Buck seems to really love cats. He is heart worm negative and microchipped. Buck has cataracts in both eyes and appears to be nearly blind. Buck is fine tuning his housebreaking skills and making progress although does have an accident or two a day. With continued training and consistency, Buck should get his routine down. We feel that Buck would do best in a home with older children rather than young children. If he is feeling unsure of something, he likes to sit in your lap, but will mostly sit next to you. He will snuggle with you sometimes. When you call his name and ask him to come, he does a cute little crawl to get over to you. Buck likes to play with a tennis ball but has not shown much interest in other toys yet. He sleeps in his dog bed on the floor near his foster mom's bed.
