This guy is crate trained and loves his peanut butter Kongs! This amazing boy has survived Distemper, and that is an absolute miracle! His battle has left him with neurological damage that makes him unable to balance himself to stand. We are currently taking him to physical therapy twice a week and are hopefully that he may regain some of his abilities. Combined with the PT, his foster is working at home with him to increase his strength. Champ does have a set of quad wheels on order that should go a long way in helping him get around. Champ is able to go potty by himself outside, even though he cannot stand. He has figured out that he can urinate by laying on his side. Since he cannot run and play but still needs to get rid of excess energy, his foster gives him mind toys to keep him from getting bored. As of right now Champ should be the only pet. Not because he doesn't like them it is just the opposite, he gets so excited that he tries to stand to play with them and he just flops to the ground and could easily get hurt. Older kids would be ok but they would need to understand that he has different needs and precautions of any other dog.
