About Boo

This is Boo but he goes by Boo-Boo, Booster and a variety of other love names. He's become a very loyal and protective boy since we adopted him two years ago and has lived in the city with our family of 6 kids. He wasn't always loveable. When we first met him, he showed nervousness around men which made us think maybe he was abused in his past. When we adopted him, he was very shy and standoffish. He's now very loveable and playful and wants to be at our feet whenever we sit down. he longs to sleep at the foot of our bed and be on our heels as we are rushing through our morning routine. He loves attention and wants to give and receive affection. He's exceptional with young kids! our youngest is 7 and always playing around and on top of him without him getting annoyed. He's also very active and really needs a lot of exercise and brain time. He needs an owner or family that will ensure he gets plenty of exercise and interaction. Boo is constantly putting toys in our reach so that he can play tug of war. He is very mindful; loves to learn. He can sit, lie down, stay and other learned tricks. We taught him to 'Whisper' for his meal....which pretty much means he shakes and wiggles and mumbles under his breath. He's cautious around strangers, more so men, and will bark and growl if someone comes to the door - great security dog! I used to stay home with him and keep him company but now both myself and husband are working full time and Boo is stuck at home alone. He doesn't take well to other dogs (dominant) so the hopes to get him a brother is not an option unless he went through training. He loves walks and the longer the better. A home with land and/or a large yard would be best for him, but he will run-run-run if you don't tie him up or have a privacy fence. He always comes back but it's at his leisure and not our schedule. He's family to us so the best home will be someone who offers him equal amount of love and more time than we provide him. He comes with two dog beds, leash, toys, chain and lead for outside, dog bowls, food, treats and current shots and license. Please consider providing Boo a more structured and sound schedule than what we are unable to offer.. Thanks for your interest.
