About Kermit (west)

Hi, my name is KERMIT ID#A4072293 I am a neutered male, blue and white American Pit Bull Terrier. The shelter staff think I am about 4 years old,and I have been at the shelter since May 19, 2019. Kermit originally came to the shelter on April 14, 2018, and was adopted in July. His adopter stated 'Kermit loves people, and got along fine with our kids. He is very playful, loves toys, and even likes getting a bath. He is very well behaved, doesn't get on furniture, and has good manners. However, he could not get along with our female pit bull, so we feel we had no choice but to bring him back to the shelter. Returned in August, 2018. Kermit was then adopted in February, 2019, but returned 3 months later because he 'did not get along with other dogs'. Adopter was informed of this before Kermit went home with them. They also stated; ' Kermit did well with our 12 year old, but shouldn't be around cats. He is very treat driven.' Unless Kermit finds a permanent home this time, he will be placed on the euthanasia list. He is a very sweet and playful pup, kind of goofy when chasing a tennis ball, but doesn't always bring it back (wants you to chase him). He would make a wonderful walking or hiking buddy, because he has lots of energy, and wants to be with you all the time. We cannot emphasize too much that Kermit needs to be the only dog in the house, and preferably no cats either. This sweet guy would give you unconditional love until the day he dies.
