About Ginger

Hi everyone my name is Ginger and I am a Female who is approx 3-5 year old. My rescue thinks that I am a German Shepherd American Bulldog but really I am just a mutt. I weight approx 45lbs. The beginning of my story is pretty sad. as I was rescued at the end of September from a really bad situation. My previous 'owner' had me and several other dogs living together at his place of business. He would feed us by opening 50 pound bags of dog food and leaving the bags out for the dogs to eat out of. We would all fight for food and the other dogs would attack me mercilessly. Thankfully, someone that worked next to that business knew the situation and knew that I needed help and to get out before I was killed. I was completely defeated when my rescue received the video of me with a plea for help. My foster mom went that afternoon to rescue me. When she brought me to the vet I had gaping wounds all over and I have a lot scars from her ordeal. However my foster mom still tells me I am pretty even with my scars. If I hadn't been covered in wounds, you would never know what I had been through cause I am just one of the sweetest dogs you have ever met. By the first night I was giving kisses and loving on my foster mom. I really love my foster mom and dad, but I heard all about these forever homes and they sound just great! Do you know anyone who might like to adopt me? I appear to be housebroken however, I am not a fan of a crate. I love to play with tennis balls, squeaky toys, and chew bones. I prefer to be the only dog in the house and considering the circumstances from which I came from my rescue says that is pretty understandable.. I does not like cats and although I like children my rescue feels children over 12 would be best for me because I am very rambunctious and am super high energy. I LOVE people. I also love attention, playing, walking, pretty much anything that involves spending time with humans people. I am currently located down South at Southern Paws's sister shelters and available for pre-adoption. They are trying to help me find my forever home! They do transports to NJ once a month.
